The thickest beech in South Holland Painting

A short walk from my house there is an old graveyard, no longer in use, on the ramparts of the old city. One of the sights at the yard is this beech tree. A small plaque next to it states that this is the thickest beech in the province of South Holland. I painted it in late 2021 when all the leaves had fallen and the gnarly shapes of the thick branches had the starkest contrast against the foggy sky.
