About The Artwork
This piece is based on my younger brother who has a mild form of Autism. And while it began as a means to express how I feel his mind could be described it ultimately mirrored my own inner self. I hope it conveys at least somewhat accurately what it is like to be lost in one's own head.The surface is somewhat raised, yet smooth in other parts, this reflects, again, the concept behind i, through a sense of chaos and disorder. I thought the vibrant, almost neon, colours help to lend itself to a type of un-reality.
