The Victory’s Symphony Painting

Three short notes repeated and one long, are probably the most well-known musical fragment in the history of music. It could be fate knocking at the door, the trumpets of Judgment’s Day, or the song of a bird, but it is only the first option that explosively gives birth to the five bars of the first movement. The Fifth Symphony emanates Beethoven's genius, his thoughts, his pains, anger, dreams, despairs and enthusiasms, but also, his political beliefs. The energy, rhythms and motives of the Fifth Symphony take us back to the French Revolution and to the ideals of freedom, equality and fraternity, transforming itself into a “Chant de la Victoire”- an anthem of the triumphant victory.
