About The Artwork
The painting is made on the door of an old shop window/wardrobe, made of beech wood. Some boys are seen, sitting in front of a table like the apostles of the last supper. Among them - men, women and even a dog. Everyone - already drunk, drinking and singing. This wooden board, painted with acrylic, is part of a conceptual exhibition, called THE WEDDING. The complete group is made up of Los Novios, Los Pardinos, an orchestra of gypsies, the guests, sitting around a table and already drunk, the families and relatives of the bride and groom and some little angels. As in almost all of Mara's works, the irony and sense of humor are well noted in this one.
