About The Artwork
This is a painting of a young woman relaxing in her favorite wicker chair which is something that I like to do during these warm summer months in Georgia. I usually have a glass of sweet ice tea and a book while I'm sitting. I hope that the viewer will have a sense of peace and contemplation while looking at this work. I started out using acrylic on this piece and ended up with oil. This is an impressionistic work.

Sherri moved to Atlanta, Georgia in her early twenties where she worked and met her husband. They married and moved to Guatemala for five years where he did research work and she immersed herself in the culture and art scene. Their first daughter was born there. Their second daughter was born soon after they returned to The United States of America.
