The idea of ​​the series "Unexpected Snow" arose one spring on the road from Reims to Troyes. Suddenly, the snow has changed the perception of reality. France has become similar to Russia, and the landscape outside the window - a black and white photo. So there was an idea of ​​creating this series of symbolic-minimalistic landscapes. This is a landscape with a minimum amount of color. I strive to simplify the meaning and model of presentation, eliminating unnecessary and secondary details. I do not seek scrupulous realism. My landscapes are made in memory or are imaginary pictures. In my works the symbolism of color, spots and lines, repeatability, monochromism prevails. I'm not trying to focus the attention of the viewer on separate details, I want to convey the general mood, harmony. All small details go to the background and are only a supplement to the overall perception of work.
