"The church on the move" # NYC Painting

The substance used by Grelo is always dense and solid, strongly attached to its structural support in which it identifies itself, like in a fresco, gaining an ancient connotation which enables it to endure the weight of the meanings of the worldliness where the solitude of the incomprehension, the deep rooted sense of alienation which determines the suffering, the repression which settles like a lump of the shifting of identity towards its loss, dominates. The paradox of genetic brilliance that dominates the colors of his painting goes back to that part of the Renaissance which can be found in Campigli and in Carrà, collecting the total of cult quotations which are placed in the pretexts of a scenery that, from time to time, moves itself and assumes the features of a psychology surpassing the dialectics of the objectivity and becoming an enlarged portrait of the author who confronts himself and his painting, like a bard or a narrator, just while, in the discovery of the language, he starts discovering himself as subject and individual.
