I’m Cris, born in northern Moldavia, home to one of the world's greatest art treasures and currently living in Bucharest.
I’m a self-taught artist working in the field of Sociology however, painting has always been the best area for me to do self-changes and to analyze society in different cultures. I do consider that in a postmodern society where many of us do not feel strongly enough that we are part of a community, part of a larger WE, art can make a difference. In my paintings I want to make society felt.
My work is influenced in particular by my hometown (Roman) and childhood memories. I tend to work intuitively, enjoying every piece of the process of creation without a clear idea of the final outcome.
Every painting of mine is based on a particular mood, particular experience of life or memory, this is what differentiate my paintings.
My motto is that GOOD and EVIL have equal power in art and in human lives.
