The mayan wheel Painting

The mayan wheel. Sort of ancient artifact of the mayan civilization, it's made of stone and bears strange hieroglyphs. Some say they depict the continous rise of that people after they crushed the spanish invasion in the late 1600's, but most of that writing (if it is one indeed) has remained indecipherable. Before painting it with tempera/gouache, all the details (it's plenty, and that's an euphemism) were done with a mechanical pencil, thus the original's superior quality. A must have for any Central Americas and precolumbian art.
