This work is inspired by personal relationships and the fluid behavior of paint. It often begins with a portrait of someone close to me, layered with fragments from acrylic pouring dried paint skins shaped by chance. The artist, born in Argentina (a country where genealogies are often fragmentary and cultural memory is built from overlapping migratory layers) has developed his own technique, which he calls "Stain Assemblage" He creates autonomous stains on non-stick surfaces, then lifts them off and preserves them as fragments of a personal archive. None of them are trimmed or corrected: each shape retains its original accident. On the support, these fragments overlap and interlock to reconstruct a face. They do not seek likeness, but rather to reveal how identity can emerge from what is scattered and incomplete. The work is not painted: it is composed. What appears is a figure assembled from fragmentation, a possible portrait in a territory where identity is always in the making.
