BIOGRAPHY
The multidisciplinary artist Isabel Castelló Ocampos was born in Argentina, where she completed her advanced studies in Fine Arts and later specialized in Engraving Techniques at the current National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires. At that time, she participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, earning an Honorable Mention from the Swedish Embassy in Argentina.
Later, she traveled to Spain with her family, where she settled. There, she continued her artistic career and studies, earning a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Jaume I University and taking the course "Tangible Things", taught by Professor Emeritus Laurel Thatcher Ulrich of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University.
Recognized by Contemporary Art Curator Magazine with the International Art Award for the Creativity, among others, and participating in numerous exhibitions and fairs in Venice, Milan, Madrid, New York, Paris, Berlin, Dubai and more, her work can be found in public and private collections.
Isabel Castelló Ocampos understands that an artist should be like a reporter of their time, connecting things in a different expressive way, like Goya or Anselm Kiefer.
In this way, the resulting connection with society and its surroundings produces a catharsis in the viewer, an emotional liberation and purification, perceived in the unique vision of her works, which invite us to reflect on what we are doing in this world and where we are going.
