This piece explores the idea that each of us carries unknown or hidden parts within (often more than one). These are aspects of ourselves we may find difficult to face or fully acknowledge, yet doing so is essential for true liberation and personal growth.

I am a watercolour artist and illustrator based in London, originally from Russia.
My work explores the quiet yet profound strength of femininity. It is deeply personal, rooted in my own journey of self-discovery as a woman who spent much of her life fulfilling expectations. First as a daughter, then as a mother and professional.
For years, I balanced family, career, and responsibilities, always striving for a better future. But one day, I realised I had never truly centred myself in my own life. My artistic practice is now my way of reclaiming that space.
Through delicate yet expressive watercolour techniques, I embrace fluidity allowing the paint to flow freely and form soft, organic shapes that speak of resilience, sensitivity, and quiet power. I do not try to control the medium, instead, I let it move naturally, cherishing the beauty of the unexpected.
This process mirrors my journey: learning to exist beyond obligation, to follow my own desires, and to rediscover myself as an individual.
At its core, my art speaks to women who, like me, have been shaped by societal expectations and obligations. With the right support, I hope to amplify my voice. Because I know so many women need to hear it.
