About The Artwork
The history of Peru and Chile was marked by the war of the Pacific. Currently there are some cultural conflicts between both nations. My painting tries to create a satire about the war based on the folkloric tradition of both peoples. The realistic painting is made up of elements of popular culture such as amulets, characters from Japanese anime and patriotic elements.
