Matteo Antonio Vaccari Sigismondi, known as Sigis Vinylism, dedicated all his existence to music, in the beginning collecting it then becoming a professional dj and a producer/sound designer. In 2007, his music becomes “raw material” as the LP vinyls start to acquire unique and surreal shapes, giving voice to his thought. Sigis donates immortality to vinyls through his art: lips with a soul, a past, a loud quiet protest. LP vinyls change shape without breaking and reflecting a passion stronger than any compromise. “The subject of my art is represented by the mouths – metaphor of words, interaction and universal love – differently coloured as the changes in my mood”. After various exhibition and shows in Italy and abroad as long as collaboration with international art galleries, as Galerie d’Art Monegasque (GAM) and Pictural Surrealistic Gallery in Montecarlo or OIOIOI International ArtGallery in San Petersbourg and Moscow, at 33 years of age Sigis obtains the aknowledgement of its artistic style “Vinilismo” from the Istituto Nazionale di Cultura (Italian National Institut of Culture) consacrating him as Art Master during his partecipation at 54th Biennale di Venezia curated by Vittorio Sgarbi. Sigis works have been also exposed at Grimaldi Forum Monaco alongside with “Da Vinci’s Atlantic Code” as statement of a new way of communication. His steady research takes life from an extraordinary dynamism which allows him to study and observe all aspects of reality giving them a modern twist. After exhibiting at 55th Biennale di Venezia with “Back 2 Back to Biennale” and the successful partecipation at BrerArt 2013 he decideded to open the doors of his Milan’s Art Atelier in Via Gabrio Serbelloni 14, transforming it in a location for artistic and cultural gatherings, for events, for his works as it happened in the past within the art master ateliers.
