"Thinking of Blessings to Come" is a captivating abstract painting that combines layers of texture and a dramatic color palette to convey a sense of anticipation and hope. The predominant use of dark blues creates a dramatic and mysterious atmosphere, while the contrasting elements of white and light yellow gold symbolize the future blessings that are the central focus of the artwork. The choice to portray the blessings against the foreground of calm water adds depth and symbolism to the artwork. The serene scene of water suggests a sense of tranquility and reflection, highlighting my contemplation of the blessings I have already experienced. The juxtaposition of the explosive, dynamic representation of blessings with the calmness of the water creates a powerful visual statement, emphasizing the impact and transformative nature of these blessings. The sides of the painting, painted in a dark prussian blue, provide a cohesive look and enhance the overall composition. This choice adds to the sense of depth and dimension in the artwork while complementing the dominant color palette. "Thinking of Blessings to Come" is a visually striking and thought-provoking painting that successfully captures my feelings about past and future blessings. Through its layered textures, contrasting colors, and symbolic elements, the artwork conveys a sense of optimism, hope, and the potential for transformative experiences in life. A satin varnish has been applied to all the painted surfaces to protect against UV rays and dust. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany the artwork. This painting is ready to ship and ready to hang.

I am a self-taught artist best known for large-size original abstract and contemporary paintings. In 2021 I worked with an organization to create ~200 digital images - variations of my original artwork - to use for ~1500 prints for the Sky Tower Hotel at a Resort & Casino. I have donated artwork to raise money for a Children’s Home in Oxford, NC, and for Freedom Global, an organization that creates sustainable solutions to alleviating poverty in countries around the globe. My art is also featured in the Corporate World – Washington, DC; Bel Air, MD; Baton Rouge, LA; and Morrisville, NC, but most of my work is enjoyed in the homes of art collectors.
