I am Paul Hardern a artist located in the north west of England in the county of Cheshire. I feel I am best known for my renditions of Scottish/British animals but I also enjoy experimenting with landscapes and abstract. My art hangs all over the world, and notable places such as Chicago,LA,London and Melbourne. I was taught to paint at a early age by my farther who taught me to paint with oils and acrylics, I went on to attend Art College where I developed my skills through experimenting with a number of mediums and tools, such as textiles/ photography and sculpture, from this it helped me to develop my artwork and now I focus on acrylic painting where I have honed my skills and found my true calling. I first knew the love for art when at a early age my farther, introduced me to a Van Gough painting, the church at Auvers, I loved the colors ,and I then painted it my self....I was only 8 and I still have the painting 30 years later. My works are often inspired by colors and textures I see in the subjects, the fur of an animal or colors in the sky, its the simple things like this that inspire me to paint.
