Born in London, England, Emmanuel Anderson's devotion to drawing emerged at a very young age. Emmanuel would often compete with his older brother, drawing characters to discover the best artist between them. Although, his brother would be victorious during their friendly drawing competition, eventually his brother began to desire other passions. However, the desire and drive for creativity led Emmanuel to pursue aspects of creative art and began painting. Verily, upon these experiences he found art to be his true passion! Emmanuel's painting depicts the everyday lives and emotions of people around our global community and pop culture. In addition, he likes to capture the expression of realism in an impressionistic form and incorporate natures musical influences. Emmanuel is divinely inspired by the beautiful array of colors and creative sounds of nature. As a prolific artist and musician, Emmanuel finds playing his guitar to be therapeutic and liberating as painting a picture. In music and arts, Emmanuel views no limits or boundaries to what one can create. Emmanuel states "Art and music evokes an array of feelings that triggers the emotion, causing one to feel calm, relaxed, excited and satisfied." Similarly, Emmanuel desires this expressive mood to be felt, as one view his artworks. Emmanuel further sees fine art as a visual language of narrative stories expanded by the imagination from the artist perspective that portrays personal life experiences. Emmanuel finds pleasure in capturing moments at public parks, festivals, the inner city and anywhere he finds the opportunity for inspiration. Emmanuel embraces spirituality as the influence in his paintings, which in turn gives him a true appreciation for music, nature, art, and how they intricately relate to each other. Emmanuel attended the Portfolio Center school of Arts and Design. He studied Graphic Design, Photography, and Illustration. Emmanuel continued his education at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Illustration. Emmanuel's prime medium to work with is oil and acrylic paint, and he studied under the tutoring of Marc Chatov where he learned the Alla Prima technique of painting. Emmanuel continues to develop his skill regularly attending life drawing and painting classes. Emmanuel lives in Georgia with his wife Yolanda and three children.
