ToW Painting

Painted on paper pasted on an 18 mm plywood plate. The deconstructed frame consists of a wooden bar, which protrudes at the top left and the right. The visible protruding bits are painted orange and tapered. The painting is lifted off the wall by this bar and further, invisible, wooden bars at the back. The painting process consists of an initial layer of black pastel drawing, partially over painted with blue and white oil paint and/or washed out with turpentine. After drying of the initial layer of oil paint the painting was varnished with yacht varnished. About a year later the white and orange vertical lines were added using oil paint, as well as the orange “deconstructed” frame. Weight without packaging: 10.3 kg.
