Having so many tennis ball around my home, my lab dog fault, inspired me to paint this one. I like to represent an object on it most simple form casting a shadow on a plain background. The tennis ball really pops out when is lighted from above.

Gonzalo Algarate is an Uruguayan American sculptor, painter and fabricator residing in Culver City California. Move to the States from Uruguay in 1984 Assisted at Robert Graham Studio for 20 years and was part of of most of Graham's Public Works, Civic Monuments and private sculptures from 1984 to 2001. In the present time Gonzalo is also artist assistant for Brad Howe, artist base in Malibu California. Gonzalo Algarate sculpts and paint at he's home studio in southern California.
