SHIPPING AND RETURNS

This is an original acrylic on painting of tomatoes, hand painted one of a kind, unframed. This painting was created as a part of my daily painting challenge after the long break after my baby was born. I really enjoyed the colours and all details of this still life. It was created by heart.

About the Artist

Nina Jayasinghe

United Kingdom

I am a professional fine artist working with painting and mixed media, currently based in the UK.

My practice is rooted in a deep observation of nature — particularly botanical forms, tropical plants and orchids — explored through texture, layering and subtle abstraction. Plants in my work are not botanical illustrations but living structures: fragile, sensual and powerful at the same time.

I work primarily with acrylics, oils and mixed techniques, often incorporating metallic elements such as gold leaf to enhance light, depth and rhythm within the composition. My paintings exist between abstraction and recognisable form, inviting the viewer into a contemplative, intimate dialogue with nature.

Having travelled extensively, I draw inspiration from diverse natural environments and cultural landscapes. Today, my work reflects both my academic background in fine art and my ongoing artistic evolution within the contemporary UK art scene.
