About The Artwork

This is a vision of tomorrow's world, a picture of a world that may be dystopian, but in a way a glimmer of hope can be seen.

I'm born in Venice in 1965 and graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice. I've partecipated to several art exhibitions, solo and collective, in Italy and in other country. I have won many art competitions, among which: an art collective in Malesia in the city of Kuala Lumpur and in the cities of Bangkok, Singapore and Jakarta, a collective of Engraving art in the city of Cavezzo (Modena, Italy) and other painting competitions in Italy. I have also participated to a special project for the UNICEF and recently my activity is focused also on Children Illustration and web design. During my Academy years, I started painting following an inner research, starting with German Expressionism as a source of inspiration. Starting from the observation of metropolitan reality, my works gradually shifted towards more intimate aspects, mixing images of common life with the exploration of the inner universe. Acrylic is the technique I use most frequently for my works and it allows me great speed of execution and excellent control over the colours. This is essential for me to achieve harmony between the idea and the realisation of the work. The choice of medium is also often linked to reasons of better mastery in the realisation of the works. Certainly my preference for the medium is wood, which is a warm and durable material. Lately, my focus has shifted towards more abstract forms, which allow me a more careful study of colours and formal balance.
