ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Gosh this piece tortured me terribly. Maybe it’s because this is my first tondo and I had the impression that I don’t have enough space. I just felt bit overwhelmed by this form and I couldn’t get along with it for a month. However, I decided to paint what I like most – a curvy woman and Calla plant which I bought for my kitchen recently. It’s supposed to be a cemetery plant, often seen at funerals, but don’t expect any symbolism here… It’s just a fascinating flower for me. When I hang it on the wall, it looks completely different from the rest. I have to admit that the circular effect is really appealing.:) - It's a painting on a round canvas, which is called a "tondo" - The entire surface has a matt finish. - My signature is on the front and reverse side of the canvas.

Hello! I’m Ewelina Czarniecka. Since middle school, my close ones have called me "effe." I’m a painter and a graphic designer. I learned about painting skills from my grandfather and father. I gained my creative soul at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Later I enriched it with strong graphics knowledge while studying at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology.
