I sometimes imagine that the matter of the whole earth could change in nature as in a transmutation that would not be operated by an alchemist but by a cosmic force on the scale of our universe. This is what I have tried to illustrate in this landscape of decay. Like rain from elsewhere, light slowly transforms the landscape into a mixture of solid, liquid and vaporous elements that will contribute to the elevation of this nature to a new world. The dilution of acrylic has made it possible to accentuate the diluvian aspect of this process by numerous and marked drips.
