About the Artist

Andjela Djermanovic

Serbia

Doctor of Arts Anđela Đermanović (1993) born in Belgrade, Serbia. She received her doctorate 2024. with the topic “Picture and story - multimedia structure of works of engaged art" Completed her bachelor and master's studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2017, Department of Painting. Co-author of the documentary ethnographic film series Počudište.

In my work I presented an eclectic professional and personal life that influenced the formation of the ambience of the artwork. As an artist, I take on the role of an observer who, with the principle of active imagination, transforms my own experiences and chronicling view of society into a work of art. My artistic work is a symbiosis of scientific and autobiographical, i.e. symbiosis between artistic references, literature, folk rituals and empirical experience.

Active on the art scene since 2013.
So far, had seven solo exhibitions and participated in more than 80 group exhibitions.
