Alex Jowett's Horizon Line series were born out of Immanuel Kant's 'Critique of Pure Reason' and his discussions on the line. Equal parts philosophical discussion and aesthetic expression this large scale painting allows the viewer to bring their own experience to the art. We see based upon past experience not simply by viewing that which is in front of us. Jowett's artworks use minimalist means to explore contemplative themes. *Artwork is canvas stretched over wood so is best to be shipped flat but can be rolled upon request!
