The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like “Trouble Finds You” embraces both of these elements with the combination of palette knife work and fluid brushstroke movements. Working with palette knives not only creates a texture that I obsess over, but also takes away some control and precision I would usually have with paint brushes. Like many other pieces, the bold intensity of a high contrast between black and white plays a significant role in this artwork’s composition. “My hope is not to be seen, but to be experienced. A Brief Biography: Meredith is a self-taught oil and acrylic painter living in Indianapolis, Indiana. While she has been creative and artistic her whole life, it wasn't till the beginning of 2015 that selling art became not just an idea, but a reality. She finds inspiration in everything around her; artists she admires, loved ones in her life, and the beautiful world she experiences through her travels and surrounding her every day.
