LOOKING CLOSER! I have developed a unique and innovative style of painting flowers. It's been influenced by my lifelong relationship with botany, a biochemist with the Wellcome foundation and love of the work of Georgia O'Keefe. Interested in flowers since my childhood, I have spent thirty years in cultivating, investigating and painting flowers. Most artist paint flowers purely for their beauty but I paint the parts other artists either tend to ignore or simply do not see! It is the inner parts of the flower such as the petals, stigma & stamen, and complex pattern arouse my interest. I paint inner complex design or structures that are obscured by the outward visual beauty. Most people see the flower but do not really observe the true beauty, as their structures are stunning and exciting and wonderful to behold.
ABSTRACT & ECSTASY OF COLOUR IN ART
My abstract work is related to the environment. It may be countryside, shape of the land, trees formation, cliff and any object of interest lying around on the beach. Take colour hints from the nature, plants, flowers, trees earth, water, son and fire.
FUNKY & BUZZ ART This is an modern and contemporary art that I have developed with the notion that brain buzz and sparkle at the time of a formation of an idea and when brain sparkle and give messages of dots and line than idea develop into a vision of a shape hence a painting.
Influences
Van Gogh, Monet, Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Georgia, O Keefe.
