About The Artwork
As a child born by the Bosphorus, in Istanbul culture, Turkish Raki and the smell of fresh grilled fish caught from the Bosphorus and cooked there, the sea, eating with friends and poetic, joyful and sad night tables on the Bosphorus, music and conversations by the Marmara sea, the artist's favorite moments and memories. These unforgettable lines from the famous Turkish Poet Orhan Veli's poem "I buy old ones- Eskiler Alıyorum" inspired her: "I wish if I were a fish in a raki bottle - bir de rakı şisesinde balık olsam"
