Turquoise Water - Infusion Series Painting

“Turquoise Water” is a minimal abstract color field oil painting from the Infusion Series that radiates a calm and meditative energy. I used a minimal color palette of rich turquoise and blues to explore the organic textural qualities emerging from their combination. The canvas is layered with many layers of transparent glazes infused with flicks, drips and brushstrokes of paint, creating a luminous glow radiating from the semi gloss surface. It has a nurturing soothing quality inspired by the calm, cool and healing qualities of water. Reminiscent of the many days spent at the beach during my childhood, walking along the edge of the tide lapping on the shore and staring out over the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean to the horizon. Painted on a 1.5” gallery wrapped canvas with edges painted white, it comes ready to hang and signed on the front. The vibrant colors glow under natural light or in a nicely lit room, and will also respond well to direct illumination with a spotlight. Thank you for your interest in my work.
