Two Wall Lamps Painting

I entered a show titled "Take a Seat" and created my first cutout, Van Gogh's chair from his "Bedroom at Arles". I began to explore the concept of, object as art, in which I cut out an image from plywood, paint it in a trompe l'oeil style and present it in the prosaic manner the viewer would expect to see. Dowels project the object off the wall, so that shadows enhance the verisimilitude.
