ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I always thought that the street is like a spectacle, a show, you just have to wait and watch. This painting is supposed to show this. The scene in the first plan and the spectator in the third. Ther's an other element what refers on observation, the window, what makes an allusion on the "voyareusisme", a theme that interests me a lot. In fact everything is reel though we have the impression that the woman sitting on the bank has a fantasy behind her. The tree upside down wich is actually a reflection makes even stronger the feeling of unreality.
