Ultima Cena • MMIX (2009)

The title translates in "The last supper". I interpreted Leonardo Da Vinci's original background of the room. On the characters, I used different sketching techniques resulting in an experimental appearance. The Last Supper is a 15th century mural painting in Milan created by Leonardo da Vinci. It represents the scene of The Last Supper from the final days of Jesus as it is told in the Gospel of John 13:21, when Jesus announces that one of his Twelve Apostles would betray him, and eventually come back to save him.

Egg tempera & acrylic paint on wood.
Dimensions: 30x42x1.7 cm / 11.8x16.5x0.3 inch
