I was walking in Crystal City and I saw the sun rays hitting the Gumballs machines just on the right angle making the gumballs sparkling, glowing and radiates everything around it. I had mixed emotions that day, my feelings were just like the Gumballs crowded in a Machine, I was Red, white and blue, my emotional pattern are scattered all over the place, each time a color Gumball dropped out, the pattern of colors take another shape just like my feelings. Come to think of it, our feelings are just like these Gumballs machines. I later moved to Washington, D.C., and studied at the Zoll Studio of Fine Art in Timonium, Maryland, fully delving into classical painting techniques and trompe l’oeil.
