This work is a vibrant and moving representation of the famous Parisian terrace of the Café de Flore. The artist has masterfully captured the essence of Parisian daily life with striking precision and vividness. The scene takes place outside, under a bright light that brings every detail to life. The waiter, dressed in classic brasserie attire, is the center of attention, ready to take an order. His confident and professional posture is a testament to his experience and commitment to his profession. Customers, seated at typical Parisian round tables, are immersed in conversation, creating a friendly and lively atmosphere. White parasols provide a delicate shade on the tables, emphasizing the contrast between light and shadow. Touches of vibrant color, such as the red shirt of one of the characters and the colorful drinks, add visual dynamics to the entire work. The background of the painting is dominated by the iconic façade of the Café de Flore, whose inscription is partially visible, firmly anchoring the scene in its legendary setting. The brushstroke and texturing techniques used by the artist give a sense of movement to the painting, immersing the viewer in this scene of everyday life. This work is not simply a café scene, but a true celebration of the Parisian way of life, with a special attention to detail that makes every element of the composition irresistible and memorable. The artist has been able to capture not only the appearance, but also the soul of this mythical place, making it a must-see piece for any lover of French art and culture.

Born in Courrières in the North of France, I share my time between the North of France and Paris which inspires me many urban scenes including café terraces. I have always used oil paint because slow drying suits my technique better. I work in series by inspiring my surrounding, places I go to, objects I own and stage. In the series "Réflexions sur le temps qui passe", I treat the cars and Vespa in the manner of the "vanities" of the past by perforating the bodies, rusting them, thus translating the time that passes and which reduces to few things once prestigious vehicles. The parallel is obvious with our own existence. In the still lifes séries, I stage objects with a preference for metal and glass and using a palette of coloured grey and nuanced white so as to have a contemporary touch. In the series "Mes petites Nanas", I interpret scenes, situations, by putting in scene my daughter who is used to me as model (The comedy of the feelings, or the works on the small girls). Finally, the urban landscapes are inspired, as I said earlier, by my numerous stays in Paris where I live part of the year.
