In Turkish culture, there is almost never a closed table, always an open table, moments shared with loved ones, moments when you laugh at almost everything. If there is a humor essence in human life, every pain, every sweet thing can turn into laughter. Laughing together is to bring joy, which is the food of the soul. In my work, I captured a moment full of vitality. I celebrate the essence of joy and friendship with bold strokes and a lively palette. A sincere scene emerges beneath the impressive smiles, inviting viewers to feel the warmth and laughter that spreads throughout the piece. The combination of Fauvist colors and the dynamism of expressionism invites an energy that will fill every space with enthusiastic joy. My canvas is a portal to shared enthusiasm. All the subjects and objects used by the artist in these paintings are composed of the memories she remembers and the memories of her experiences in the family home. The artist also painted her own mother's portrait from imagination, and in fact, the things we think we have lost appear even more vividly and in detail in our imaginations. It is to begin to see with our hearts what we have lost. The artist again wanted to convey how funny, ironic and satirical her moments with her mother were, as in the shadow play "Karagöz Hacivat" in Turkish culture. The unique personality and memories of the artist's mother caused by misunderstandings and sound analogies, the comedy, the dialogues and memories between her and her mother have inspired this series.She started this painting 13 years ago after she lost her mother. The painting that never ends due to emotional reasons ended when she accepted the joy and sadness of life and started production. Half laughs will always continue! … for my mom.
