"3rd Adana Painters Association" was exhibited in the painting contest. It's a national race. Untitled 1, 80x90cm, ( may , 2017) Almost half of the picture (bottom part) has a calm sea with repetitive lines and stains. The upper part has vivid colors and boats. These boats are on the big boat. They're ready to land. There is a cross-section similar to the letter "V". This section only affected the ships. There is a big mess with pipes, railings and decks. Black and red stains make our eyes wander. Scaffolding and flat colors in the background, resting our eyes. The ships are complex; The sea is also so calm. The vivid colors in the foreground of the boat and the ship are grayed out step by step. A masterfully played color scale. Black in the background, graying with a different technique. This situation strengthens the front-back relationship. The back contrast is breaking. The pier has a fishing net and scaffolding fathers. Ship tied to the shore. The mess on the fishing boat dominates . The sea is calm and reflects the colors of the boat. Calmness and confusion. The linear continuation of the sections on the ships is on the sea. There is a peaceful tranquility in the sea. Boats painted in red tones are in a chaos like fire. They got in each other.

Untitled series: This new port theme series; Uğur Akın's shattered structure is based on the harmony of geometric shapes and fishing boats that provide their livelihood from nature. In previous arrays, he developed geometric fragmentation with many plastic elements such as marine tissue, voids, anteroposterior relationship. The combination of the boats with the sea and the fact that the port's composition is very simple and strikingly textured in contrast to the exact lines, brought a separate focus to the painting technique. Uğur Akın divides the object linearly into pieces. But it prevents breaking with color stains. Shredding and combining complement each other in an artistic balance. The loneliness of the objects in the paintings, as well as the loneliness in our lives, coupled with the rush around us, gives mobility with the geometric divisions and the speckling values around it. Dialectical thinking, objects and stains complement a beautiful product balance plastic. Color research, color sketch and grayscale add depth to the pictures and add value to the work. Today our relations; our social life, time, places, bodies and personalities are separated from each other. The contemporary world's fragmentation of our lives like pieces of a machine explains the artist's aim in destroying his paintings with color and strokes. However, it adds dialectical beauty to these fractions in contrast to our daily life, which brings all these disintegrations together in a plastic balance. This is a side that sees a cellular movement that sees and finds a different world. In his paintings, Uğur AKIN carries our loneliness to the art scene in a geometric order in a fragmented world. Uğur Akın's artistic works were appreciated by collectors in the United States and his works were purchased by collectors. It has works in the collections of municipal museums and collections in Turkey.
