About The Artwork

In this series, Untitled-1, Untitled-2, and Untitled-3 are all apparently abstract topics. But feminine lines and shapes initiated them, if you look closely you will find a lot of feminine moods. And at the same time, the abstractness of the colors and shapes also represent the diversity inherent in women. A woman in herself represents abstract perfection and diversity, which, in my opinion, does not exist in men; in my opinion, it is necessary to be so. After all, a woman is the heart and the birth of a new beginning life should and does pass on all this diversity to the new generation.

Yuri Lysenko is a French painter of Soviet origin living in Guadalajara, Mexico. After the Soviet Union's disintegration, he left Ukraine in 1995 to pursue a military career in the Foreign Legion in France. During this period, he painted murals and produced his work "The Children of Kosovo," resulting from his participation with the UN Blue Helmets in 2000. A year later, his work "Self Portrait" was selected and exhibited at the Beaux Arts (Paris) as part of a national painting contest. Also, in 2001, he left the Foreign Legion to join civilian life. During this period, he painted portraits and nudes with pastels and sanguine. He arrived in Mexico in 2016, and there he discovered abstract painting, with which he found a different way of expression through movement and color. Most of his paintings are in oil, although he also has some in acrylic and mixed media. In 2018, his painting "Les Primaires" was selected and exhibited digitally at MoMA (New York). His paintings denote his mastery in the handling of color and shapes, filling canvases with life in which balance, peace, and joy of life are captured.
