Untitled-Blue Triangle Painting

This work is part of an ongoing series using a process of repeated layers of acrylic paint, ballpoint pen, all of which are submerged underneath layers of clear gesso, then sanded smooth. Each layer interacts and informs the next until the composition is resolved. The work is created to engage the viewer through a visual dialogue between distilled shape, line and colour. This is feeling is deepened when the viewer is in the presence of the physical work, as the depth of layers become evident. The canvas is stretched and light weight, with a smooth and protected mat finish, also includes hanging hardware.
