Who/Where Are We? is a thought-provoking exploration of identity, place, and connection in a post-internet, post-modern age. This work, part of an evolving series, reflects upon the ethos of our "build back better" era, embodying the transformative spirit of game-b. The chosen materials become a powerful interface, holding a dual position of potentiality and history. In line with my overarching artistic vision, this piece subverts conventional norms of image consumption, utilizing tropes from our contemporary digital culture to engage with deeper societal narratives. Each layer contributes to a rich tapestry of time, space, and relationships, providing a portal for modern discourse rooted in the intricate weave of our collective human experience. This piece extends an invitation for viewers to contemplate their positioning within our ever-evolving global context, prompting critical reflection on how we navigate and perceive our shared cultural landscape. Through this work, I continue my pursuit of reshaping perceptions, challenging norms, and creating profound, transcendent connections through art

Anthony Vizard is an artist at the intersection of art and fashion, with roots as diverse as his grandfather's mining community and his mentorship by Royal College alumnus Anthony Corner. His journey has taken him from London's fashion hub at Paul Smith to a career with fashion labels in cultural centres such as Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, and L.A., infusing his work with decades of diverse influences. He explores the place of painting in visual culture's neo-context of time, technology, and history, weaving a narrative that reflects our collective cultural mosaic. His artistic practice, which fuses digital and traditional media to reflect curiosity and boundary-pushing intent, includes repurposing the pages of fashion magazines as platforms for contemporary discourse. Inspired by Gombrich, Whitney, and Schnabel, Anthony's art invites critical reflection and engagement. Embracing the transformative power of art, he challenges codes and explores changing relationships with image value and consumption in the contemporary digital age.
