Ilya Sprindzhuk (born 1994) Visual artist. Author of paintings and installations, actionism and new media activities. Lives and works in Warsaw. In his art, he often focuses on broad concepts within local contexts: he is interested in in cultural identity, memory, the subject of power and its impact on the current social framework. He strives to uncover new opportunities for discussing complex topics, especially considering the current state of the world. Ilya's works take the form of objects-installations that invade space. As a representative of a specific Belarusian environment, he does not try to limit himself to merely depicting it. It is important for the artist to explore what can happen next and how his work can contribute to world culture. Thus, his work becomes a constant struggle with universality while simultaneously searching for it. Besides art, Ilya is also involved in design, creating visual identities for a wide range of projects, particularly focusing on cultural and exhibition initiatives.
