For me, this painting was all about going big, with fewer larger shapes instead of more smaller ones. I wanted to paint each shape with an appropriate texture, i.e a darker colour for a sharper looking point or using unmixed bits of colour to make a shape look planet-like. Each shape's position on the canvas dictates where another shape goes, as I wanted to achieve a harmonious balance and interaction between the shapes, where they wait to be noticed instead of leaping out of the canvas at you.
I must bring to your attention that there is a very small (5mm) slit in the canvas, near the top left, but I can assure you it is negligible and is very difficult to spot. I have priced this piece with that information in mind.
The painting will be packaged extremely safely, with great care.

I am a freelance painter who explores the relationship between form and balance through geometric and organic shapes. I attribute ‘mass’ to each shape and act as if my surface is a weighing scales, achieving equilibrium or misbalance. I work as a spectacle maker in London and have trained in stringed instrument craft. Both of these fields influence my more illustrative work.
