Jean Cherouny's "physicality" with paint grew out of her competitive skiing and mountain biking careers. She sees painting as a way of believing. As an abstract artist, Jean believes in the body's ability to paint as a way of reflecting the techniques and extremes of her time. "I am in a wild game of emotion and energy that finds its paths and forms under my feet. The body reflects my greatest knowledge and spirit.
