'Untitled' Painting

MONIKA SOJKA She graduated with honors with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice (The Department of Art, field of study: graphic arts), Poland. Her Master’s degree diploma consisted of digital graphics (the main diploma, which was realized in the studio of Professor Adam Romaniuk) and two additional presentations: painting (completed in the studio of Professor Jacek Rykała) and posters (achieved in the studio of Professor Roman Kalarus). She is an especially passionate about painting, digital graphics, posters, photography and illustration. She took part in many exhibitions in Poland and in another countries, for example: VIII Student Biennial of Graphic Arts, Poznań, Poland, 2013; Galerie Koridor, Fakulta umění, Ostravská univerzita v Ostravě, Czech Republic, 2014; 2. International Student Poster Biennial, Lublin, Poland, 2015; Australian Bookplate Design Award, Gallery on Sturt, Ballarat, Wiktoria, Australia, 2015; International Competition of Lithography „Litho Kielce”, Kielce, Poland, 2015; International Reggae Poster Contest, Constellations, Liverpool, England, 2016; 25. Polish Poster Biennial, Katowice, Poland, 2017. She won many prizes and distinctions, such as: Distinction in the Poster Competition, Vintage Photo Festival, Bydgoszcz, 2015; Special prize in the 2nd International Student Poster Biennial in Lublin, 2015; Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, 10th Biennial of Student Graphics in Poznań, 2017; Honorary distinction at the 25th Polish Poster Biennial, Katowice, 2017; Rector’s scholarship for the best students - 2013/2014, 2014/2015; Scholarship of the Local Government of Tychy „Quod discis, tibi discis” for outstanding students - 2014, 2016.
