Urban Decay 2 Painting

Fellows Court, Haggerston, East London. Home for 5-6years. The place was encased in scaffolding for an entire, stuffy, summer. Relentless, industrial drills brutally tormented the residents for weeks. I ended up writing to the local paper about it. On a positive note, the place was a hop skip and jump from vibrant Hoxton Sq and on the other side Brick Lane. This piece was painted in my room within the flats. A few years later, coincidentally, I would return to the area to record the Detachments debut album with world renowned producer James Ford at The Premises, which was a few minutes away, up the Hackney Rd.
