ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The inspiration comes from the works of the old masters that represented common foods to reflect on the transience of life. I hope that it arouses in the viewer a calm and silence that gives rise to visual sensations, but also gustatory or tactile, that encourages a deeper thought towards the ultimate destiny of everything that lives. I painted it with glazes and oil impastos on an acrylic base to reproduce the effect of depth in the shadows and three-dimensionality in the lights that was used in classical painting.
