ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The Sediments series explores naturalistic shapes, patterns and colours that emerge as a result of erosion. Brown hues interplay with ochre, white and blue strokes. Painted with mixed media on wooden panels, combining bold strokes with transparent layers. Fine pencil lines suggest one is looking at a cartographic image from a satellite, meandering rivers finding their way across a patchwork landscape.
