Aleksandra Erdeljan (Zrenjanin, Serbia, 1982) is a visual artist and art therapist whose practice spanes from painting to photography, seamlessly combining aesthetic research with social commitment. She began her training in Serbia, studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad. In 2006, she moved to Milan, where she continued her studies in visual arts at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. Over the years, she has expanded and diversified expertise, specializing in photography (CFP Bauer, 2010), art therapy (Modello Botteghe d'Arte at the Ex O.P. Paolo Pini, 2018), and advertising graphics (SinerVis Academy, 2020). She has showcased her work in solo and group exhibitions across Italy, Russia, and Serbia, and has participated in several watercolor and miniature biennials. Her notable solo exhibitions include Naufragio, a solo photography exhibition sponsored by the Zrenjanin Contemporary Art Gallery (Serbia, 2009), a double solo show at Nasha Gallery (Perm, Russia, 2015); and the recent Multiitudini di impronte, curated by Casa delle Artiste at Spazio Seicentro (Milan, 2024). Erdeljan has also participated in numerous international art colonies and workshops, such as Real-Presence– an international meeting of Fine Arts Academies and emerging artists organized by curators Biljana Tomić and Dobrila Denegri in Belgrade, Serbia (2008). In 2009, she created a mural in Stalettì (Catanzaro), a project organized by the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, the Catanzaro Academy of Fine Arts, and the Antonio Battaglia Gallery. In 2019, she took part in the Swab contemporary art fair in Barcelona, Spain. Since 2024, she has been an active member of the Noibrera APS association (Stecca3, Milan), participating in the group exhibitions “Il muro del cambiamento" (Stecca3, Milan, 2024), “Le linee continue della pace” (Valmaggi Cultural Center, Sesto San Giovanni, 2025; Ondedurto Arte space, Vigevano, 2026), and “Sostenere il futuro" (Seconda Scuderia del Castello di Vigevano, 2025). She has received several awards and accoladies: 1st prize for drawing at the 1st Todor Manojlović Salon (Zrenjanin, Serbia, 1998), 2nd prize from the University of Novi Sad for the best greeting card, Novi Sad, Serbia (2003), and honors from the National Museum of Zrenjanin, Serbia (2010). Her works are held in private collections across the USA, Australia, the UK, Taiwan, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
