Andrew Johns began his artistic career designing sets for theatres around the country, including the Off-Broadway production of The Tempest with Ed Asner, the one-act opera The Bald Prima Donna at the Amato Opera, and Summer stock theatres throughout New England and the Midwest. He created masks for the Drama department at Vassar College and The New Theatre, among others. Andrew's murals have been commissioned by private and business clients in the NYC area, including the former casting offices of Donna DeSeta on Spring street, and his theatre-themed greeting cards are carried by the Drama Book Shop. Andrew is a published playwright, whose works have been produced Off-Broadway, at dozens of Regional Theatres, and Internationally. His plays 'Fridays' and 'Why Am I Always Alone When I'm With You?' aka 'The Return of Herbert Bracewell' are both published by Dramatists Play Service. He's also written and acted in a series of comedic videos with director/actor Ray Edelstein, which may be viewed on their YouTube channel, yacobsladder. And he's appeared as an actor On and Off Broadway, and in film, most recently the Cannes-nominated short film 'Give Up The Ghost', for which he won a Best Actor award. He penned the short film 'Bliss', starring Louise Lasser and Greg Mullavey, which is making the festival rounds.
