Parisa Sahafiasl was born in 1984 and holds MA degree in Research of Arts and has had exhibitions of her paintings in different cities so far. now she continues her doctorate in Art History department in Turkey under Professor Yılmaz CAN. She is infatuated by Contemporary artist’s technique. her subject matter is human, whether it is a traditional figure or a body and humanistic subjects painting. her goal is to inspire those who see her work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover human emotions in Artistic forms and combinations.
In fact the artworks would distinctly criticize the actual realities of the present day e.g. anger, infringements of human privacy, inclination towards absolute luxury, being superficial, deviation from human values, the widening gap between the poor the rich, Environmental degradation and addiction in its various forms consumerism, by exposing the viewers to an angle where they can behold and compare the discrepancies of the 19th and the 21st centuries. Parisa Sahafiasl in her works of art, lays stress on the idea that if Van Gogh was to live today what factors would drift him away from being Van Gogh. From the painter’s point of view Van Gogh symbolizes the unity of body and soul, the endless battle of virtue and vice and the unique emblem of purity, the elements modern human, who has little understanding of inner nature of objects, has entirely lost and in return resorted to rage to prove himself, turning to a thing devoid of reflection and free will trapped in the circle of consumerism. These works of art are not meant to depict the Vincent’s bewilderments, but to reveal the ones of modern human in an era of leading forgetfulness.
