ABOUT THE ARTWORK
We created this piece in response to the landscape in our local region. As a collective we explore all-over abstraction with experimental applications of paint. This technique creates an ambiguous surface, slightly photographic, like the surface of a sheet or the topography of the land. Details: - The surface of the canvas is flat and the 3D effect is a trompe l'oeil illusion. - The painting extends around the sides of the canvas. - All paint pigments used are Golden Fluid acrylic paints. - This piece is stapled on 2x (30x60cm) stretchers and will be sent boxed. - We use a business called Pack 'n Send, who organize the packaging and shipping documents.
